Hi there!
I'm a Cloud Engineer and Principal Developer Advocate at Microsoft, in the Azure Engineering division. My mission is to help every technologist on the planet succeed, with a focus on data and the data teams behind the applications.
Based in France. I work with, help, and teach developers and data engineers across the world on cloud and open-source technologies.
Before joining Microsoft, I helped large corporations and startups build user-friendly apps and services, and the teams behind them. I was an engineering lead at Deezer, a worldwide music streaming service.
My job as a cloud advocate
For a few years now, I've had some unusual job titles. If you'd like to understand what my current job involves, watch the following video!

About me
For more than six years, my mission has been to help developers and teams create user-friendly, scalable digital services. I care about understanding other people's problems and helping solve them.
I started selling my code at 16. With more than ten years of experience, I've helped teams across the continent build their products and their teams, from founders creating their first prototype to enterprise teams and scale-ups with hundreds of developers and tens of millions of users a day.
How have I done it?
- Rewrote internal data-entry tools and their UX, reducing the time spent from eight hours to three hours a day per employee.
- Created one of the first iPhone apps in France and had it reviewed in person by Apple engineers in San Francisco.
- Published my first book with a national publisher.
- Trained 20 OEM partners for Microsoft on operating-system deployment and packaging.
- Was the lead developer of Windows Live Messenger for Windows Phone 7.
All of this was before earning my master's degree. That drive has stayed with me ever since.
- Joined Deezer at around 60 employees and left at more than 400, about four years later. In a team of two, I launched three apps that reached more than 10 million downloads, and helped grow the engineering organization by creating an Engineering Effectiveness team.
- Joined Microsoft as a Customer Engineer, helping companies adopt DevOps and cloud technologies.
- Now I'm a Cloud Advocate at Microsoft, focusing on data engineering and analytics.
Speaking and teaching
I've given hundreds of talks across the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia, from local meetups to keynotes like the Microsoft AI Tour in Paris in front of around 4,000 people. I'm a former Microsoft MVP and a Microsoft Certified Trainer.
Where does scuba diving fit in?
My interests range from the clouds to the deep sea. I'm a scuba diving instructor: I train other divers to become instructors and dive beyond 200 feet (60 meters). I bring this passion, and lessons learned underwater, into my work at Microsoft.
When I'm not in front of a computer or underwater, I'm probably cooking. My recipes are on GitHub.
